Things just arent the way they used to be…
I’m sure you have heard the phrase many times ‘Things just aren’t the way they used to be…’, these words have been spoken by many voices not limited by age, we spent the weekend looking through many childhood photos, some rather embarrassing photos, but the less said about those the better, but people were happy, content and satisfied, the cry was not always for more, people had flowery carpet, walls were dressed with fruit bowl wallpaper and people wore clothes that looked biblical, and hair styles……! everything looked old age but life was good, people were authentic and happy.
Change can be difficult, in the past we can look back and review the paths taken and think that was a good choice, or that was a big mistake, but looking ahead can be uncertain, create feelings of nervousness, and insecurity, famous preachers will tell us to cling to Christ Jesus and all will be rosy, and while the theory of that may be true, the reality is not always as simple.
