Peace Costs
Like you I’m sure the daily news of more Soldier deaths in the Afghanistan conflict is shocking to the core! Young guys who are simply doing their job are getting sent home in wooden boxes every day, sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, husbands/wives, boyfriends or girlfriends, as the Taliban continue to pursue their goals violently -> that everyone should follow their interpretation of Koran.
The question being asked every day is ‘Should we have went into Afghanistan in the first place?’, this is irrelevant, its to late to debate that, the question now is how do the troops get out with the job done/or not completed without making the UK their next battlefield?
There is a Hugh cost humanly and economically through any war, the human efforts to create peace bring death and destruction to nations & families, but neither side will surrender, the terrorists will continue because they are fighting for their religion, the west will not surrender because Bush/Obama & Blair/Brown have to much to lose, they won’t ever admit they were in the wrong.
On an other note, I encourage anyone questioning the integrity of our governments to watch the film WMD 2008, you will have your eyes opened, watch trailer below!
We must pray for the Leaders of our nations, we need God to intervene in many crisis’s in our world!
