I’m sure you have heard many say something like “Its not the way it used to be!” many times, As humans we live in a changing world, everyday things are changing, babies are being born and I know all about how that brings much change to the new parents lives, Accidents happen and people sometimes are left in a horrible state for long periods of time, others have very serious surgery which will make radical changes to the way they do life, for the rest of their life, everyday people die, some with old age being the only reason but unfortunately the most die through horrible diseases, accidents, freak weather patterns etc. The Fact is we are brought up in a cotton wool society and once we hit the late years of our teens, life seems to turn horrible, although many have their worlds wrecked as kids unfortunately through parental divorces, abuse and parent deaths.
What a terrible Blog entry! What am I trying to say, I don’t know, I guess not all change is good, but I’m learning that I need to become better at adapting to change, trying to become less shocked when the worst things happen, as a man I’m trying to be the brave father who tells his children that all will be ok, when the worst happens, trying to be a husband that can support his wife and be a rock when the news is bad, when worlds are rocked with change, trying to be a friend who can show compassion and love when unfair and unbelievable things happen, with the potential to ruin lives. We live in hurt in a world were so many are hurting, Jesus really is My only hope, science, evolution, hobbies, money etc all have limits.
But I Believe in an unlimited God, He’s my fuel, He’s may passion, He’s my reason for keeping going. Sometimes I think without God, would there be a meaning to life? Jesus is the only good thing in life that can stay good, its My Job to maintain that!! The Bible tells us to work our salvation out daily, not to live on past manna, we need to take each day as it comes, believing God in all things.
When things are Good, God is Good, when things are Bad, God is still good, we are the only thing that changes when things are bad, but its how we choose to react that will determine our future. sorry for my ramblings, processing stuff that kept we awake last night! God Bless
