a June Wilderness
This month has been a busy month, so much on, feels like I have done so little though! Have had the privilege of being at three weddings this month so far with another one to go on Friday, I just love the bringing together of two totally differnet people, like a man and woman to start off with, then two people from different upbringings, different lifestyles etc, etc. and to see them unite in the union of marriage – a life covenant and promise – How Awesome! This month I’ve had a bit of a wilderness experience (being totally honest), quiet times have been difficult, focusing on passages of scripture in my study time have been hard, but in this hardness I’ve found a real peace and anointing from God in worship and song, there have been times that Prayers have felt like rebounding arrows, but at the same time I’ve received important answers that are helping me unravel this strange wilderness experience.
In my countdown to the July Holidays I’m trying to start unwinding now, so that I don’t get to the Friday of my week off before I have started to relax and enjoy time off. I find there to be 4 times a year when I get a fresh desire to change the way I do things or should I use the words ‘improve the way I do things’. 1st January – New Years Day, 15th February – My birthday, the July Holidays and the 1st September – Normally the 1st day back to Normality after the summer break. As I look back at goals I set on the 1st January this year, I realise I have not got on to well this year, but I’m getting geared up to kick start the second half of 2007 and I’m hoping on that Journey I will be able to share the highs, the lows, and the anything else of interest along that road!
