Believing in God Alone!

We all live luxury lives, come on we get food every day, we have homes, we have modes of transport, we have gadgets, we don’t have NEEDS, we have many WANTS but few NEEDS. Many of us have very good health, a first class national health service(Don’t start complaining about it, have you seen the hospitals in the third world?)

I’ve have come to realise that in life people expect two things that we as humans don’t have

1. Time
2. Perfection

We have no time to wait, but much time to waste – think about that – I know it has been true in my life, We have time for some but not for others, no time to read Gods word but can watch a 90 minute football game or whatever you call your hobbies! Maybe we should put God into our Hobbies Category, then at least He would get some of our time!

We expect things in life to be done with perfection ever heard someone say ‘I paid good money for that and look – its a mess’ Or someone buys a product in a shop, they get it home and see a 2mm scratch on the surface and phone their solicitor? Why do imperfect people demand pefection from people they know to be imperfect?

We get distracted with so many things in life, so many small things, If your gonna be easily distracted with small things, dear help you when big things try to distract You. Its time to take captive our our distractions and focus on God Alone, believing in him for everything, not in people or organisations or in money, time or power – But God!!

Its Time to practice the Bible, what we preach and what we sing!

If you’ve ever wondered what the middle verse in the Bible is its Psalm 118v8, I think its a verse we all need to hear often to remind us about were we place our trust!

“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”
