10 Blessed Years

Amazing to think emmanuel has now been going 10 years, God has done so much, lets continue to pray daily for the oversight team as they continue to seek God for direction in the next 10 years (Of course depending on the Return of the Lord).

I am so expectant of God for today! Can’t wait til church!!! Nite Nite!

Waiting on the Lord…

‘But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’

How often have You heard all or part of this verse quoted, it seems to me its one of those ‘medicine’ verses, you know the type that Chrisitans pull off out of the cupboard when someone wants something quicker than they can have it, or maybe its used when the person quoted is trying to tell you that your maving a move to fast.

People who wait on the Lord don’t just continue with normal life waiting for lightening to bolt from above, for me waiting on the Lord is an intense spiritual encounter with God, one that you carry with You, Lets not go backwards if your gonna be a true believer we need to allow God to be were we are all the time, day or night, work or home, fun nights or quiet nights, He must be an always invited always welcomed guest, You can’t exclude God from anything. I’m going off at a tangant – sorry.

‘shall renew their strength’, While we often try to relate this term to Physical strength, and don’t get me wrong God will renew Your physical strength, I think Isaiah is more focused on Your spiritual Strength. God is one that reveals truthes about roots, about foundations and about growth. If we are going to grow as believers we need to grow our inner strength before outer strength, because if like samson you loose your outer strength then what strength do you have left?

When you hit trials your inner strength will get a battering, so You need to take time and allow God to minister strength and healing to your battered soul. The Key is spending quality time at the feet of Jesus – In Silence! Try spending time in Gods Presence today with every part of you focused on Him and I know You Will be Blessed, and Renewed in Body, Soul and Spirit!

God will only be a Big God if You Let Him

How Big is God? Maybe I should ask How Big do You let God be in your Life? God since our creation God has allowed us to make the decisions that affect out lives, So if we want God to be a major player in our life, we will let him and vice versa.

One of my favouite passages in the Bible in Found in Jeremiah 18: 1-6

My favourite verse in this passage is verse 4:
‘But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.’

Today maybe you are afraid to let God be Big in your life as that means handing over the steering wheel, this means that the bad stuff will be brought to the surface, and maybe You think it will change Gods perspective on you, well its not a new fact to say that God will love You even when He sees the bad, Hes a God that has unconditional Love for His children, I know, I for one cannot fully comprehend what that means, but I don’t have to because I believe in faith with every fibre of my being that God is Love.

Maybe You and I do mess things up, maybe it makes us fear God is a strange and horrible way, but Gods words are simple, Your vessel may be spoiled but God will remake that vessel into something more beautiful, more like Him, But the key is that You must let him.

If you want God to be a Big Part of Your life you need to

• Stop making the decisions Yourself
• Start obeying His Word and his voice
• Serve Him Wholeheartedly
• Surrender ALL to God

These things are easy to say – I know that because I to am Human and I to struggle with things sometimes, but we can do this, We can Give our Lives Over to God everyday, Its hard because its walking sometimes where we don’t know if there is ground to walk on, its like walking in pitch black darkness not knowing whats ahead, but its walking with Your Saviour beside You, Holding You so tight because He never wants to let you Go – Selah! (Think about that)

Reach for it….

Have you ever though about the thing you would most like to do in life? We all have have things we dream of, but you know if we are fortunate we may see 70 years of age, tonight something is telling me to tell someone who may read this to reach beyond what you think you are able to do because God has bigger plans and purposes for your life!

I guess I am starting to realise that life is not just about work, but family, friends and fun are such a big part of life, and the most important! What I do for God is most important, how I talk to people how i care for people How I Love – thats what matters!

Today Dare to be seperated from the mould of life that we so easily fall into, God doens’t want us all to be clones!

Go on, Reach beyond your limits with Your hand in Gods!
