Tolerating Sin Lets the Devil in!

Recently I have been concerned of the growing number of christians who are increasingly tolerating Sin.

For years this debate has mostly concerned the Drinking, Drugs and Co-habiting issues which I’m not going to start on today, but it just worries me when I hear christians say to fellow believers ‘if your happy, then thats all that matters’ .

I can see where people come from to say that to an unbeliever, as an unbeliever does not have a responsibilty to Live up to Gods Standards, but I’m talking more about Believers. I’m not gonna mention the areas as I ain’t gonna give glory to the devil, but Please just be careful what you involve yourself in, if it means engaging in Sin – Don’t do it, If your engaging with a person that is performing the sin, pray for them and be careful, we must guard ourselves from the sinful nature that has polluted our society, heres a verse from the message that I come on this morning:

1 Samuel 3:12-14 (The Message)The time has come for me to bring down on Eli’s family everything I warned him of, every last word of it. I’m letting him know that the time’s up. I’m bringing judgment on his family for good. He knew what was going on, that his sons were desecrating God’s name and God’s place, and he did nothing to stop them. This is my sentence on the family of Eli: The evil of Eli’s family can never be wiped out by sacrifice or offering.”

Please don’t force God to bring judgement on your Family or self for a sin that You are constanly performing knowing its not of God!

Remeber “Tolerating Sin Lets the Devil in!”

(Sorry if this is a little deep for a thursday morning)

We Must Go..

Over the past number of weeks there has been a Tim Hughes Song sung in church a few times, the words in the song have struck a chord within me, Its a song I believe challenging believers to go and be Jesus to the world, and to people with little or no hope. Below are the lyrics, as you read them be blessed, in Matthew when Jesus teaches on the Mount, He said Blessed are the poor, Heres a thought, if the Poor are blessed, why hang out with the rich? I don’t know about You but I want to be where God’s blessing is. I hope these words challenge You as they have challenged me, there are needy people in our street, town, city – WE MUST GO to them! Its time not just to shine light, but to be the light!

God of Justice, Saviour to all,
Came to rescue the weak and the poor
Chose to serve and not be served

Jesus, You have called us
Freely we’ve received
Now freely we will give

We must go
Live to feed the hungry
Stand beside the broken
We must go

Stepping forward
Keep us from just singing
Move us into action
We must go

To act justly everyday
Loving mercy in everyway
Walking humbly before You God

You have shown us, what You require
Freely we’ve received
Now freely we will give
We must go

Live to feed the hungry
Stand beside the broken
We must go

Fill us up and send us out
Fill us up and send us out
Fill us up and send us out Lord

Hold tight….

From time to time we all get urgent prayer requests, the very fear of what is going on a persons life sometimes scares us from praying. Sometimes when that fear hits us we are wordless and so don’t pray, can I encourage You today to Pray in the Heavenly language if your stuck, sometimes deep needs to cry out to deep, our spirits need to connect with Gods spirit and the only way that works sometimes is through tongues.

Specifically today my prayers are with my uncle who suffered a heart attack this morning, and for Lindsay who goes dor a MRI scan tomorrow, Its time to touch heaven and see these two lives and many more touched by the hand of God.

Hold tight guys, the fear of these things is not of God, rise above fear, seek God and we will see Him Shine though in Wonderous and Miraculous Ways!

If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.
(Jesus quoted in John 14:14)

2nd Class Stamp

If I were to sum up my past month in a phrase, I would have to say I’ve felt like a second class stamp, I’m getting there but just not as fast as I’d like to be!

Humans tend just to want everything now, its a humanistic factor that annoys me, especially in my life, I annoy myself with wanting things to happen now, But thankfully we have a God that is not moved by Greed but rather by need!

Over the past while I’ve been uninvolving myself with a lot of things because my body is tired, my mind at times is a little weary and I Just need to be putting time into God and Family. Amy Losing her mum in March has certainly given us an eyeopener as to how much we depended on Jill, at times when the kids are hard work, first days at play school, they have all been tough and crappy days, God is restoring me I know but at the minute I feel a little battered.

I’ve been asking God this past week a lot of things but I just keep asking when will I feel I can be like a first class stamp again!

Orange tell us, the future is bright, and I know in God my future is bright, I know that Gods plan is big and great, but does anyone else experienced that when your knower is weary that its hard to see that?

Nothing inspirational today, just questions and a sore head, please pray!
