Do You know Him?

Many times I’ve read the story of the two guys on the Emmaus Road, A story showing how sometimes we may sense God but not actually realise His is walking with us!

But this morning I’m looking at this in a different light, Do you ever go through life with one of these attitudes,
1.Choosing not to believe that God is interested in your situation
2.Ignoring the fact that God is interested in Your situation.

Sometimes I feel part of this spirals from how mature we are in God, hear me out on this.
Can we become to mature?

Matt 19v14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

I’ve observed people criticising parents for allowing their children to pray for ‘little things’, like a sick pet, a lost teddy, a dying plant and so on. Yes these things may not be what we pray for ourselves, but do you ever think if we really got to know God, like share absolutely everything with Him, that we would find it easier to call out to God in times of deepest despair?

The principle behind telling everything may be childlike, but is that not what God wants? He wants us in a place where we are totally dependant on Him, Seek Him for everything, Ask Him before anyone else, truely put God in the First Place in our lives where He belongs. God wants us not only to say “our hearts were burning within us” like the two on Emmaus Road, He want’s us to say “I had an encounter with God”, He wants us to know that He is beside us all the time, that “He will Never leave us nor forsake us”.

God wants to know You, what about You…? Do You want to know God?

The secret is not found in formulas, but rather in spending time “pouring your heart out”, “telling all”, and most important listening to what God is saying!

and remember – Don’t be a person who rebukes children or anyone for being Honest with God!

Amazing God

Last night I had the privilege of praying with a couple of mates, and during the time of prayer the weight of Gods presence in that room was something I hadn’t experienced for some time (I’m just being Honest), It was as if problems and issues where blown out of the room, and for a hour or so nothing mattered other than God! How nice in such a busy world to get time with God, and a time when God does the ministering, healing and talking! What a blessing!

Many times I’ve been guilty – and I know its a man thing, of saying phrases like “I love You God” or “Lord your beautiful” – after making sure that no-one is listening to me, well If it takes an unashamed stance to pray and worship God and feel His presence like last night, I know for me anyway, Thats What its gonna be – No More Shame – Cause we do serve not only a Living and a Loving God, But a God Who Cares about our smallest worries, A God who understands Pain, A God who watched His Son Suffer for Our sin! – What a God!

Lets Praise our AMAZING GOD Today, Tomorrow and Forever! He is worhty of all Honour, Glory and Praise!

He has Plans for You

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

WOW! What a God! Isn’t it funny how we go through life trying to Plan today, tomorrow and the future! Yet as a Believer I know that God has plans for me, but to get those plans from God requires TOTAL Dependance on God, TOTAL Faith in God and a REAL TIME Relationship with God!

Sometimes a Fear Comes to me, a Fear of not being in control, Last night God spoke a phrase into my life as I was trying to get over to sleep – “I have plans for You” so naturally this morning this verse just had to be read yet again, Isn’t it funny how a verse means so much more to us when God applies it to our lives? So I need to be like the rope walker over the niagra falls – Walk the line and keep my eyes fixed on God – 24-7, It may not always be easy, but when Jesus talked about taking up your cross to follow me, it really doesn’t portray an easy life, but I can make you a promise, Its a life that is worth Living and its the life I’m choosing to Live Today, Tomorrow and in the Future that God has left for me on this earth!

Confession Time – Thanks God

I have a confession to make, I could write it on a private bit of paper and loose it or forget about it, or I could blog it and have people watch out for me to make sure I’m doing alright,

Tonight I have come to a point of realising that I’ve been asleep for a good while, enjoying the “good Christian living” and tonight partly though Stevie speaking in church ( by the way thanks for the challenge mate!) I have woke up! I had fallen into the trap that I often seen many fall into, without even realising it for so long!

So Guys this is it, time for no more sleeping or lazing, time to invest my time, energy, money and life in the kingdom of God!

  • TIME TO GET REAL WITH GOD AND FELLOW CHRISTIANS
  • TIME TO PRAY AND WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH
  • TIME TO REFLECT GOD EVERYDAY AND IN EVERYWAY
  • TIME TO LIVE A HOLY AND PURE LIFE
  • TIME TO GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY
  • TIME TO BOW DOWN BEFORE GOD AND NOT BE ASHAMED
  • TIME TO ACKNOWLEDGE GOD AS MY LORD
  • TIME TO BE BOLD FOR GOD
  • TIME TO FEAR GOD
  • TIME TO LOVE THE PEOPLE THAT JESUS LOVES

For all those “believers” out there who already have done and are doing these things, I’m gonna run the race to with everything I got from now on, and for those maybe where i have been, my prayer is that you wake up soon, before you fall in the trap for the rest of your life!

Renewing of Your Mind

Romans 12:1-2
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

The Bible tells us that one of the highest and ultimate goals that God has in store for each one of us is our transformation – this transformation is accomplished by the ‘renewing of our mind’. The Bible tells us that God wants to sanctify us and transform us into the ‘express image of His Son Jesus Christ’. He wants to make us into better and more holy people - both on the inside and the outside.

I believe there are three steps to this process:

1. Knowledge From The Word
The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us like the Son of God.
2. Put On Positive Qualities – Put Away Negative Qualities
God wants us to become like Christ – So sin must be dealth with and got rid of!
3. By the Power of the The Holy Spirit
We NEED the Holy Spirit to fulfil Gods calling in our lives!

The Key to all this though is that only if you are willing to seek and put on the good and godly qualities that the Lord would really like for you to have, and then seek to put away all of the negative and destructive qualities that He will not want you to have.

Remember God wants yeilded vessels ready to obey and follow Him
