a time to wake up?
Was interested in the news this morning to hear of Iran’s involvement on the front line in the battle of Lebanon. Could it be that Armageddon is around the corner? Are you ready if is? Are Your friends and family? We need to be ready with the sword(Gods Word) in our hand ready to fight for souls before this happens – are you a spreading Gods truth? I’m currently being challenged about who I am influencing for God, maybe its time to find ways of getting to talk to people about God creatively, My question is am i fooling myself with talking about God with christians (which is good), but neglecting to talk to Seekers about God? Lets be like this penguin and make sure theres no sleeping Christians about! God needs His army to be wide awake!

God’s Universal Reign
Was reading in Isiah this morning, Its one of those books I’ve gleaned from and never really studied, so thats my project for July – August.
check out these verses in a time when I believe the end of time is on the Horizon.
Isaiah ch2v2 – 4
In the last days The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.
I for one get excited when I read about things that God has in store for the end of time – We live at a time when we need to be growing our roots in the word of God, Be careful with what we read and listen to – It can and will destroy You/Me if we’re not careful! Guard your heart, mind and soul from the temptations and ungodly desires that pollute this world – It will be hard and yes it is daily fight – but its for an eternal purpose and victory!
Pastor Phil often says often about keeping short accounts with God! The less the weight trying to pull you back, the easier it is to move on and move forward!

See beyond the Mist
As Phil Spoke yesterday and used the illustration of being up the mountains when covered by mist and all of a sudden the mist left and a wall was there – The point being that the wall was there all along but He just couldn’t see it. How easy it is sometimes that our cuircumstances, problems, worries (the Mist) keep us from seeing God, from fellowshipping and communing with him.
In Hebrews ch13v 5-6 we read
”I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”
The problem is if we are honest – sometimes we do the leaving and forsaking because we let other things get in before God, I’m trying hard to change everyday to be more willing to let God rule everything in my life – I haven’t made it yet, but today I can give another thing over to God. Christian growth is not instant, but remember if the plant is green, then something good is happening!
Look after your own spiritual wellbeing – You are 100% responsible for it!

Connecting through Worship
This past week I have been listening to a cd, Everlasting God by Brenton Brown, The Words and Muscial Accompliment of His Songs are truely inspiring, I often listen and enter in to worship with the help of CDs, but I think I have now found a CD that literally takes seconds to get ones heart flooded by God, I Encourage You to get the CD – Track 3 Especially – Will have the words once the internet is fixed here.
As Phil says often at the moment “You just got to find what works”, If something is helping You enter and experience the presence of God then Do it more often and Vice Versa!

Refiners Fire
You are the purifier and refiner of my life (Mal 3:3)
Its a well know fact that God can only use Clean and Yielded vessels. But sometimes I look at my life and wonder – Have I been refined lately? Everyday I Pray to God, somedays more than others but one verse that I wake with nearly every morning is
Psalm 24v4-5 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
So we need to be clean before God, but God wants us to be refined as well.
The definition of “Refined” is:
So Yes they both overlap a wee bit, but heres my thought at the minute, Being purified deals with the NOW, Being refined deals with Now and FOREVER? We can debate this but Malachi 3 refers to the fact that we need purified and refined, so be encouraged to make our “living sacrifice” a worthy one!
