I just realised that half the work week is nearly over – how fast time goes!
James 4v14
“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”
So remember what we do in our “little while” is what we will have as proof as to whether we were or were not that “Good and faithful servant“
We live in an age where the advancement in mans knowledge continues to grow at a scary pace! To think that man has created the very machine you are reading this on, from materials from Planet Earth – how scary!
But when it comes to God and Growing in God, Knowledge is all but a waste unless we not only understand and know it, but have the faith to apply and live it – in All Situations! I know i am not perfect so there are areas i struggle to Have Faith, What about making a list of the areas we struggle to show Faith in God, and give them over to God, and one by one we can Start Showing Faith and Show the World that we Truely believe in GOD in EVERYTHING!
Lets encourage eachother to Walk the line of Faith! And lets not be Obstacles to prevent people along their walk of Faith!
“For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.’ – Hebrews 4v2
Had an excellent weekend at my mate Johnnys Stag do, He gets married this saturday and I’ve the privilege of being a Groomsman.
Over the weekend as I had my third night away from Amy since we got married (Nearly 4 years ago). Coming up to midnight I just started to think about my wonderful wife and kids and how I missed them!
With what has happened lately I was just so thankful that I could come home to my wife!
Always be thankful! And always look after Your Wife and kids to the best of your ability! We never know when our time is up, so be challenged to Treat Your wife like Gold! I had the privilege of watching for 5 years Phil & Jill Love Eachother – What an example of How a Husband should love his Wife and How a wife should love Her Husband!
Ephesians 5v25-28
‘Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.’
Was enjoying a few chapters in the psalms this morning, when I got to Psalm 33v18-22 it warmed me, was like drinking a cup of coffee on a freezing morning;
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness, To deliver their soul from death And to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, Because we trust in His holy name. Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us, According as we have hoped in You.
How much do we “Hope” in the Lord!
I love this particular definition of the word Hope – “someone (or something) on which expectations are centered” But isn’t it great to know this morning that our Hope is not in just any old someone or something, but our Hope is in the Living and Eternal, all powerful, Majestic & Holy God!
God is many things to those who love Him; let’s make sure that He is ‘our hope’!
